I'm trying to play on this modpack but every time I try to load it, it stops at a certain point (at Model Manager) and gets really slow then closes Minecraft.
I would recommend about 1-2 GB below the amount you have installed unless it would go above 32 GB. (If you are running a 64-bit OS, don't go above 64GB.)
Also, if you are running into low RAM issues, I would recommend taking Thaumcraft out. That mod is a black hole for RAM.

That usually means you just need to allocate more memory to Minecraft.
How much memory should be allocated?
3-4 GB
