Hello! I have been having a problem with my Minecraft world since 1.9 was released, and it is starting to get really annoying. I couldn't find any recent threads about this problem related to 1.9, so I thought I'd ask here and see if anyone could help me out.
My problem is that, in creative mode, I cannot place blocks in certain square areas of the world. When I try to place a block there, it flashes and then disappears. There is nothing in the way of the block to prevent it from being placed, and I've even tried using lava and water in those squares to destroy anything that could have been blocking the way, but with no luck. I can usually place blocks around these square chunks, but I can't place them in the space itself.
In the past, I've had issues with large chunks of the world disappearing, leaving a massive glitched hole in the landscape. And when those incidences have happened, people on this forum have been gracious enough to repair the world for me. I don't know if my problem is related to glitched chunks occurring in a much smaller scale (it's been nearly two years since I last had my world repaired), but I suppose it could be a possibility.
Has anyone here heard of this happening, and if so, could you direct me in the right direction to go as to get this fixed? The problem is really hindering the gameplay for me - I'm in the middle of a large building project, and having to build around certain invisible spaces because of this glitch is not very fun.
Thanks in advance, and let me know if you need any other information from me to help you solve my problem!
sounds like a corrupt world, you can try using mcedit to delete the damaged chucks and regenerate them, or there is a corrupt world thread on the forum where someone could take a look at it for you, don't have a link sorry i just know it exists, i think its in the discussion section

Any news on this as i am having the same problem
Nothing yet. I posted a link to my save file in this thread with the hopes that someone will be able to fix the save file if it is becoming corrupted.
