so I have the latest version of minecraft installed, I haven't played in a long time and I lost my old account, so I had to buy a new prepaid card and make a new account (I don't know if this could have anything to do with the problem)... os anyway, I downloaded everything and when I started to play all the textures were black. No biggie, I turned off mip mapping and problem solved. BUT then I decided to go on a server. At first it was fine. My Ethernet cable decided to fall out of my computer while I was playing and I lost connection. this is where im stumped. I reconnected, and textures were flying all over the place. I mean like when your playing doom 2 and glitch into a wall and the textures start multiplying and flying all over the [email protected]??
This isn't just an issue related to a single server, my game was running fine. Then all of a sudden I lost connection. When I logged back in, the textures were scattered all over the place, flickering, and the player models are all erased except for the arms and legs. I tried connecting to other servers and the same thing is happening. Even in single player. I have tried re installing but I get an error when the launcher is updating saying it is corrupted.

Probably your gpu issue. Try updating it.
I figured it out, I had to re install Java
