I've got this ridiculous crap going on where I place two blocks with one click. Not a bug (according to everyone), but why can't I rectify it? Why did it only just come up for the first time recently. Why would FTB, with it's many mods, not have the same issue until recently? I'll tell you why. Windows 10.
I've increased RAM to 4Gb. I'm using the latest versions of Optifine. Rendering distance is at 6 chunks. Graphics setting is "Fast." Smooth lighting is off. Every other setting is lowered or off. I've killed background processes and services galore. I put the game install on my SSD instead of my HDD. I went into the NVidia control panel and defaulted to use the discreet GPU. I mean I can't figure anything else out. Please PLEASE someone help. I'm about to give up playing this game.

Just want to point out, I play FO4 on medium-high with no issue (40+ FPS). I play World of Tanks/Warships on high with no issue (40+ fps). The only game having any kind of performance issue is Minecraft.
I looked over everthing on the forum again and didn't find anything else to try. I also tried googling for more information, but nothing really new there either. I did find a lot of other people that have this problem though. I just don't get how this particular problem has come up. I played minecraft for a long time on much crappier hardware, and while I did occasionally experience lag, or chunk loading problems, I never had this "double-place" thing. I mean I didn't have any of those problems on the new hardware at all, just this stupidity. I just don't understand it and that's probably why I'm most angry over it.
I dunno why this got moved to modded client support. I was mainly wanting to address the issue in Vanilla 1.9 minecraft. I referenced FTB simply because the problem didn't present itself there until very recently. Whatevs.
