I am having trouble connecting to a server. (TitanMC.net) An error message pops up saying "Internal exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: The received encoded string buffer length is longer than maximum allowed (102 > 64)" what do I do to fix this?
I am having the same exact problem/error message on Minecraft School server. Can someone please help me fix this? My daughter is beyond frustrated. I'm using a mac and version 1.9.2, if that helps.

4 years ago, I started played MCPE/Minecraft in general. Now, I have MCPC, and I'm still not bored of the blocky sandbox indie. Cuz awesomeness! Got a problem with that?
Let this tell you that I'm not a noob.
And I'm not a 6-year-old whinger either.

ModeratorMinecraft 1.9.1 and 1.9.2 were released on March 30, 2016.
1.9.2 was immediately released when it was found that 1.9.1 had connection issues with Realms.
Neither of these versions are compatible with 1.9 servers.
I suggest that you use the profile for the version that works with the server you connect to.
If you aren't aware of it you can have any number of profiles for any and all of the available versions of Minecraft.
I do recommend that you create separate save folders for different profiles (those that are incompatible).
That is done by checking the Game Directory: option when creating a new profile and adding a recognizable save folder name to the path shown.
For example: my save folder for PCMCv1.9 worlds is "......\.minecraft\saves19". (sort of obvious, huh?)

If you have questions about the maps I post as attachments or Amidst and the like read this thread:
Using Amidst type programs to map and research Seeds
The latest release of Amidst, version 4.3-beta5 can be found here:

I only found out about this update half an hour ago, when I got internet access, even though I was playing Minecraft earlier today.
