Hi, trying to figure this out for my daughter. The game crashes once it launches. Before you ask all drivers are updated and so is java. I also tried several times reinstalling, java, minecraft and drivers. This is the message i get.
Toshiba laptop I7 processor, Intel(R) HD 3000 graphics card
OpenGL: ~~ERROR~~ RuntimeException: No OpenGL context found in the current thread.
Thanks for the help. Please let me know if you need anything else.
Windows 10 relocated a LOT of stuff, and Minecraft players aren't the only ones with problems. In some cases if Minecraft actually does find your drivers, it may not like them, or in my case, the graphics card itself. My system is a desktop, so changing the card and drivers wasn't too hard and ended up fixing the problem. But you said yours is a laptop. Supposedly, laptops can have the same done, but the process is a bit more complicated, and will (most likely) require tech specialists to do it for you. I've never owned a laptop, so I can't guarantee I'm right. My recommendation is to do some online research, see if it can actually be done. If it can, don't do it yourself unless you know what you're doing.
So even though Windows 10 has been out a while and Intel even longer. So basically Mojang and the all the designers for Minecraft can't figure out a way to make in compatible with my new Windows 10 laptop. I have the PE and it plays smoothly and easily on my iPad. Seems to me that would be more difficult than the pc. From what I'm seeing in the error message from the crash it's saying it's a Javascript error, now that doesn't sound like a Windows 10 error or a video card issue...but maybe it's just me. Come on Mojang...fix the issue I can't even get it to load a world! Why did I pay all this money for your game??????????
@chicksmom2 you haven't even created a thread for whatever your problem is. THIS thread is about someone with hardware that doesn't meet the requirements.
Minecraft PC edition requires Open GL. Obsolete chipsets don't have OpenGL on Windows 10. Just like a fancy but 15 year old mouse with a dozen programmable buttons doesn't have drivers on Windows 10 that lets you use those buttons.

ModeratorThe intel HD 3000 isn't fully windows 10 supported by intel, it needs to be fully supported for minecraft to run.
Either return to the previous windows version, or use a different computer
