Bought a new asus laptop in December with Windows 10 pre-loaded onto it, I downloaded the game and it worked fine. I hadn't tried playing it for over a month or so and now when I try to load the game, it attempts to load the game then crashes. I deleted/un-installed the version I was using and downloaded the .exe version and the game was playable but unable to connect with another game on my home network. I deleted that version and re-downloaded the recommended version and still continues to crash when loading the game. I have also updated java... not sure what else to try....
I logged into the Majong website and clicked the minecraft for windows version Minecraft.msi
This is the message I get when trying to load any of my worlds

You got the "original" java version. Wrong forum (this forum is for the Win10 Beta version, not just "any MC that runs in Windows 10"). You'll get a better answer in the normal MC forum.
(The line "Failed to write core dump. Minidumps are not enabled by default on client versions of Windows" should give you a clue.)

Interesting.
Which game did you download? The "original", java version of MC.... or MC: Windows 10 Beta Edition?
