Hello! Since around the mid 1.8 update, I've been experiencing a very awful client sided lag in game. This lag occurs in single player and every multiplayer server I've tried, so it's definitely client based. I've got an excellent PC so that is not the problem and I've never had this problem in the past. Generally i'm able to get an average of 120+ FPS, even higher if I tweak video settings in favor of FPS.
The problem: Every 3-8 seconds, my game is affected by a lag that lasts about half a second to a second and a half. I can not find the source of this problem. This lag seems to happen more when the map renders chunks, but happens regardless of if the area I occupy is rendered or not.
Things I've tried, with no success:
- The obvious PC restart
- Re-installation of Java.
- Allocating more RAM to the game
- Setting javaw to highest priority
- Setting video settings in favor of FPS
and some other things as well.
If anyone has any ideas on something I can try or if they're experiencing this issue as well, please, any input is greatly appreciated!
-------------Edit--------------
I realize I literally just posted this, but I'm beyond embarrassed. I reinstalled the game. Works flawlessly, for anyone who's having the issue.
