I haven't played minecraft in so long due to my computer being broken. I had to play in minimized screen that barely got 30fps.
But I am fixing up a computer and going to add some ram and a new graphics card. What would it run minecraft at, at low settings? Videos on youtube show 200, atleast 130+ on minimum. Or what fps in general?
2gb of ram - Might upgrade to 4 (I dont think it affects gaming much)
Dual Core 2.8ghz
Nvidia geforce gt 720 or the 730
if you guys can give an estimate that'd be helpful. I might even buy the GTX 740 but its a bit more expensive.
I'm not playing games like BF4 lol. Just minecraft and csgo and the hidden.. I'm probably going to add 2 more gigs too because I have 3 ram sticks at my house but im not sure if there is any more slots in the computer.

2 gigs is going to give you 10 fps on those games...
I got warned for what I said to you. Dude just leave this post please. You don't have any knowledge on computers. I'm just going to wait for another reply. 10 fps I actually died laughing if you think a $100 graphics card and 2.8ghz 2(going to 4gb of ram) I've seen the same rig except he had 2 more ram but I have more cpu power is going to get 10fps on csgo and mc. And he ran 200 fps low settings 90+ medium which is what I want. You just spread negative vibes and I don't like it. You probably got like a $1.2k computer for christmas.
I game at 15 fps on an 8 year old iMac with a fuzzy screen, I know what a terrible computer is. Whatever rig you've seen you're either lying about or being fooled, 200 fps on a $100 GPU and 4 ram is literally impossible
I get ~30-40 FPS on a medium-tier out-of-the-box Dell, and my game plays absolutely fine. I actually have trouble believing (and laugh my butt off at) people who whine about "only" getting 50 or 100 or whatever ridiculous FPS they seem to think is inadequate. Just play your stupid game and quit complaining.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. I will face my fear. I will let it pass over me and through me, and when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Minecraft is not very GPU intensive, unless you are using shaders. 2GB will allow about a 4-8 chunk render distance. 4GB will get you around double that, with a 12-16 chunk render distance.
Edit: If you're willing to stretch your budget a bit, this is a good deal on a nice mid range card:
I've seen 4gbs of ram 2.3 ghz and a $70 gpu run csgo and minecraft over 120 fps.
I have a 3.5 gHz processor and 8 gigs of RAM and get 30-40 FPS. Your friend is lying to you.

Is he now? Because I've testeit bud. And 3.5ghz isn't even good. Try getting a graphics card that is worth something not $10 and put your settings lower.

Thank you! Someone who is listening to my question. I am planning on adding more ram, I'm trying to find the extra ram slots its supposed to have. And yeah I was considering the gtx 750 ti. Thanks bud.

I can guarantee you only having 2 gigs of ram is going to affect your gaming performance...

wait, people still play the hidden? Where?
Anyway, 2gb of ram is terrible for a gaming rig, as layman said. You really should upgrade those.
