I have a decent computer. Normally, I can get from 40-130 FPS. But since I upgraded to 1.9, performance on minecraft PLUMMETED. No hardware changes, not much software. I get MASSIVE lag spikes literally every 3 freaking seconds. This also happened in 1.8, but not NEARLY as bad. I already installed optifine, and it didn't help at all. Even with all settings low: Render distance: 2 | Graphics: Fast | Clouds: Off | Smooth lighting: minimum (when I turned it off it looked too ugly) It made barely any difference. Like, it improved, but literally by only 1 FPS.
THIS IS DRIVING ME INSANE!!!!!
Anyone know of any effective ways I can get rid of this?
And contact Microsoft what they're doing to make this happen. (I swear, this started happening when Microsoft took charge of Mojang. When Mojang still took charge, everything was fine)
My performance has increased a lot. And also, Microsoft buying Mojang has nothing to do with Mojang programming the game. Just because a company owns another company doesn't mean that they immediately fire everyone at that company and do whatever they want with the products.

I am a unicorn barfing a rainbow. Your argument is invalid.
Maybe you did what I just did which was tinker with your computers power saver settings which in turn made minecraft struggle and chug more. I don't know but you should probably test some other games and make sure its not something with your computer (like malware, etc).
anyways, Ooph... just went from 50-60 FPS to 150-170 with optifine.
I already installed optifine and adjusted all the settings and barely and improvment
Also I've already ruled out malware and stuff. Malwarebytes anti-malware. (best anti-virus evaaaa) And I have a nice computer. And I've been uninstalling programs I never use, defrag schedule, tried EVERYTHING! i'm %100 that it's 1.9. Mostly because when I lose it and go down to 1.8, it's FINE! I'd stay in 1.8, but I love the features in 1.9. This BETTER be fixed when 1.9.1 official is released. Power settings: high performance. I'm a computer nerd so I'm sure when I say that I've ruled out everything.

Don't believe you
Provide your computer specs first.
I dont see why your having lag issues the snapshots lagged for me but the offical release is fine.
*cough cough* Optifine 1.9 beta is released. optifine.net/downloads.php
Wow... Already?? Wasn't expecting that!
