I have been playing Minecraft ever since update 1.7.10, (not that long, but long enough) and I have never had any problems with minecraft until just recently. So I bought a new headset and ever since I plugged it in for the forst time no sound will come out of Minecraft, I have checked my computer sound, my in game sound, my headset sound I know is working because I watch a lot of YouTube, and even when I un-plug my headset I still can't hear sound coming from Minecraft.
PLEASE HELP ME! I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS!!!
EDIT!: I have fixed my problem and no longer need any help! (thank you to the people who helped my solve my problem!)
Open up the start menu and search up "Sound". Don't click on anything else. Just sound. Find your headset in speakers, then if it isn't there, make sure that it is plugged in, but if it is plugged in, set your default sound speakers to your main computer speakers. Then plug the earplugs or headset in. That should work, anything else?

Which computer system do you use? Windows?
If you use windows, do the following:
Open up the start menu and search up "Sound". Don't click on anything else. Just sound. Find your headset in speakers, then if it isn't there, make sure that it is plugged in, but if it is plugged in, set your default sound speakers to your main computer speakers.
