Alright, first, I know this is my fault and I shouldn't have downloaded a snapshot without taking precautions. Anyways, I wanted to test LOLcat Speak before 1.9.1 was released, so I went to switch to a snapshot. I believe that it was one that consisted of numbers and letters like some of them do; unfortunately I don't remember the actual name of it. It was the latest snapshot I could find.
I downloaded it without issue, opened up Minecraft as usual, opened up a new world and placed and broke some blocks, went to the language settings, and switched over to LOLcat. As is usual when I switch languages, Minecraft was unresponsive for a bit, but soon it unfroze. Strangely, as soon as this happened, my screen zoomed out (not the actual game though, just the menu screens and such). I've attached an image so you can see what I mean. The text also looks different to me, though that may just be because it's zoomed out.
I went back into 1.8.9 and it stayed the same. I adjusted every possible setting that has to do with zooming, tried zooming in and out with my mouse, which I found doesn't work for Minecraft, tried disabling and enabling texture packs, even tried going back into the snapshot, switching back to English, and then returning to 1.8.9. No fix.
One note on going back to the snapshot: when I went to search for the one I had used, I found that the latest one was actually 1.9.1-pre3 and not one of the numbers-and-letters ones. So I may have actually installed 15w47c, which might have appeared to be the latest? Not sure how that could be, though, because purpur blocks existed and LOLcat was there.
There are several other problems with Minecraft now; here is a list of everything that is going wrong:
- Minecraft (everything except for the actual game) is strangely zoomed out
- When I open and close Minecraft, my screen flashes black a few times. This has never happened before.
- There is no more bar at the top of my Minecraft screen that lets me close out, minimize, etc. I have adjusted the full-screen on and off settings. The only way to close out without quitting is to do alt esc.
Thanks so much! Full screen is now fixed (in case anyone else has the same problem: the actual issue was that I couldn't maximize the window, which doesn't usually happen; someone said to turn off full screen and then restart Minecraft and it's fixed). Also, the black flashes have disappeared.
I figured out from a video that the problem with GUI size was that unicode font was on, and was then able to adjust the GUI because before it had not made any difference, so that's fixed now!

You are in full screen mode (F11).
The bar at the top is only there in windowed mode.
The option you are looking for is GUI Scale.
