EDIT: Turning VBO's ON fixed the issue for me.
Ever since i updated to 1.9, i created a world (custom type), and randomly each time i 1 chunk seems to be duplicating it's self for every biome type and flickers extremely fast, java is version 8.
Sometimes it affects the entire playable area.

Do you have vbo's on? Try turning them off and see if it still persists. It also could be a memory issue or graphics driver issue.

As Far as i can tell options don't affect anything. GPU is MSI Radeon R9 280X 3GB, got 16 gb ram
