I have an HP Pavilion G7 with Windows 10 with 8GB RAM, an i7-3612QM 2.10GHz, and AMD Radeon HD 7670M 1GB RAM
My problem is that Minecraft refuses to run off of the AMD card and runs off the HD Graphics 4000. I'm using GPU-Z to view which graphics is being used. I've updated all my graphics drivers as well as running the final release of AMD Crimson. I have tried to add both Minecraft and java to the programs in Crimson but it refuses to use the AMD. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
I think I found a fix for this. Minecraft doesn't like the use of the new Crimson Beta so I downgraded to the newest version of catalyst and now it runs off the AMD card. Thank you for the reply.

It's not up to minecraft.
Minecraft sends requests to the graphic driver. It's the driver that decides which GPU to use.
The G7 has tons of complaints about its switchable graphics support: https://www.google.com/search?q=HP Pavilion G7&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8#q=HP Pavilion G7 switchable graphics
One of those hits even says that switchable graphics just plain doesn't work for Open GL applications (like Minecraft).
