I have a Dell Inspiron 15 7559 that I just got on Friday (http://www.dell.com/us/p/inspiron-15-7559-laptop/pd).
I meets and exceeds all Minecraft requirements (Core i7 Processor, 8GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce 960M GPU, Windows 10 Home 64-bit, etc.).
When I first installed Minecraft on Friday or Saturday I ran it once or twice and it ran fine.
I tried to run it again yesterday and it crashes whenever I try to load a world, even a brand new one.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft and it did not help.
Something must have changed on my system between when I first installed Minecraft and yesterday but I don't know what.
Here are the error logs.
Launcher Output
hs_err_pid7720.log
nativelog.txt
Any help resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
You are not using your Nvidia, and the Intel crash is covered by the 1.9 FAQ # 2 at the top of this forum.
How can I make sure I am using the Nvidia GPU?
Nvidia Control Panel
manage 3D settings
Associate minecraft and Java with Nvidia
Thanks
Adding javaw.exe to the Nvidia Control Panel fixed the problem.
It's strange that it worked at first then stopped working.
You might have to re-associate java each time it gets updated since it is technically a different program.
