My minecraft is pretty laggy, it does involve FPS lag but im more concerned with the world generation, every 5 minutes, it would have a giant lag spike, kind of like server lag where you can move around but the world doesnt generate or if you break a block, it doesnt drop the block and you cant type. This is the list of mods i have downloaded
my CPU usage is very high and my ram usage is fairly decent (40-60%). I have 8gb of ram, an i5 3570k, and an r9 280x. None of which are overclocked and are up to date on drivers, i use windows 10.

Duuuuuuuuude i would take lagging as expected with that many mods, are you sure youve got the CPU to handle that? all things you described however point to internal server lag, which may mean minecraft needs more memory but i see your memory is fine.
I've played modpacks with more mods and i would get FPS lag instead of world generation lag. Any suggestions on what mods i should take out? I want to leave the mods that add dimensions and bosses, tconstruct, and ae2
