I have been playing minecraft for over a month and I never got a problem on my other laptop which is: Windows 8.1 64bit, 4Gb RAM, 500gb SSD, Intel Celeron N2830 2.1Ghz-2.4Ghz, Intel(R) HD Graphics. I usually get 60-110 fps(with mods) but since I got a new laptop WHICH ACCIDENTALLY HAS THE SAME SPECS, I got to 3-15fps. Why? Does anyone knows how to fix this. I have been searching some solutions but nothing can fix it.
And minecraft usually uses 335Mb out of 1289MB allocated memory on my new laptop. And it doesnt use more memory.
Please help.
Any replies would be appreciated.

What windows does the new one have? Is it literally all the same specs? That's really weird that basically the same computer is lagging XD it might be because of the manufacturer or something, or maybe a program on your computer.
Even tough I don't know why it's lagging in the 1st place I do know a mod that helps fps, https://optifine.net/home (it's not updated to 1.9 yet though)
Hope this helps! if you need anymore help just let me know!

Hello I'm you're friendly neighborhood Piggy! I'm not very active on the forums but when i'm on i like to help people and look at suggestions.
If Minecraft is using only 300MB, then Minecraft needs only 300MB. That's how Java works.
Your issue has nothing to do with how much memory Mineraft uses, and likely everything to do with any of the following:
- Java version
- any "optimized" JVM arguments you may have added
- drivers
- other programs clogging up your PC
Java is not the problem I think because I asked my dad awhile ago that Java takes much amount of RAM needed for an app but if I try to allocate more memory to JAVA it will maybe confuse the system. I do not have any JVM arguments except for -Xmx1G(even if removed still no luck)
Again: If the in-game debug screen tells you that only 300MB is used out of whatever it has allocated at the moment, that means the game only needs 300MB. Which is actually pretty normal for Minecraft on default settings.
The fact Minecraft uses only 300MB is not in any way, shape or form related to your FPS.
And yes, allocating too much memory WILL make the game run worse (despite of what the loud crowd screaming "MOAR RAM" at any issue may have you believe). Java is horrible at handling large amounts of RAM.
Thanks for the info, just did a clean re install of Windows 8.1 and I got around 100-150 fps now. Thanks, maybe it was just some other programs bugging the system.

If it doesn't allocate it, then it doesn't need it. period.
No what I meant is minecraft is using only 300MB of allocated memory and it makes it laggy.

Maybe it is a program or the Operating system.
Thanks for the reply.
