I had this issue too when I updated to 1.9.. On the launcher go to Edit profile, enable JVM Arguments on the bottom, and put in -Xmx2G in the text box.
If this doesn't work try changing the number to 3 or 4, depending on how much space you have. That worked for me. Enjoy!
Every single time i try to load a world or go into a server on 1.9 my game crashes. This really sucks please help
Does it get too laggy on the title screen?
Nope
All the good servers are going to update to 1.9 and i won't be able to play it :'(
