Well, 1.9 released a few days ago, and I was pretty thrilled to try it out. But, when I changed my version, and clicked "Play"... THE GAME DIDN'T LAUNCH! What do I do?!

What happens exactly? Are there any errors that display in the launcher's window? Usually you will see a stack dump of the error which can help in triaging the issue.

I also have this problem. The snapshots and prerelease worked fine but in the official release, MC is not launching.
I am running:
Intel HD 530 Graphics
i7-6500HQ
8 gb ram
I belive the 530 graphics may be an issue as I have tried to play other games which do not work either on Intel 530 graphics.
Alright, guys. My launcher problem is fixed... but now I have a new one: when I do /summon EnderDragon, it freezes! What now?!
