I have been playing minecraft for a few years on my computer and I play on windows 8. After 1.9 came out I have been having problems, I will hit play on minecraft launcher and it will say preparing and then again it will go back and say play and if I hit it, it does nothing, I cant play minecraft at all, but yesterday I did find a way to get around it. That was to turn off my wifi and then hit play offline and then it would work, but now when I turn my wifi off and hit play it will put me in 1.8.9 please help.
