Basically, it seems you can't use any special characters at all in either the name or the description of a Minecraft Realm.
After a while, with no comment or request for more information or....really anything at all, the bug was closed as "Cannot Reproduce".
Well, I thought, maybe they fixed it before my particular report got handled. So, after waiting for 1.9 then reactivating my realm and testing, the issue is still persisting.
The support site is just a knowledge database without a way to contact over issues and there doesn't seem to be a way to message anyone directly though the bug tracker; but I did add comments to the bug to see if it would help.
Has anyone else had experience getting a bug reopened on JIRA?
