So I made a beacon for my server and it's not letting me pick the effects. It's a four tier diamond pyramid. The beam appears but when I place the diamond ingot inside it won't let me pick the primary and secondary effects. The green check mark doesn't light up for me.
I tried to fill up the whole thing with diamond blocks but that didn't fix it. I have it underground, and there's glowstone touching the first and second tier. Does it have to be above ground or not being touching something else?
Beacons require an unobstructed view of the sky, though bedrock and transparent blocks (including water, lava, slime, glass, enchanting table, and other beacon blocks) will not count as obstruction.
