Hello there,my name is Raten
I've been playing minecraft a lot lately with NVIDIA settings.
But there's 1 problem that makes my 1.8 version of minecraft got rekt.
And that is my NVIDIA settings.
When i play 1.8 with "Integrated Graphics" it worked just fine but its so laggy,anyone would say "Just change it to High-Performance NVIDIA Processor."
I tried that and its not laggy anymore but adter 2-5 minutes my laptop shuts down immadately.
But when i tried it on 1.7.10 Forge with 75 mods, it worked just fine.
Anyone could help?

-Ram Allocated : 5,5 GB (I have 8 GB RAM)
-Exact Version Used : 1.8.1
-System : WIndows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Operating System
Note : I already used laptop cooler so dont even think or mention about overheating

If you don't want to hear the truth, then go elsewhere. The only things that causes abrupt shutdown with no notification is overheating or power supply issues.
You aren't really comparing apples and oranges. What are those mods doing? Mods like Optifine change the way your GPU gets used. 1.8 has different settings than 1.7, e.g. 1.8 supports much higher render distances increasing GPU load when used, etc.
5.5gb ram allocated to minecraft when your system only has 8gb is not a good idea. it wil lactualyl give worse performance than lower amounts. have you tried running it with 2gb allocated?

thats strange I allocate 30 GB of ram and it works great especially when I light a TON of tnt
