I just got a MacBook Pro 15", 2.2Ghz quad core i7. I figured Minecraft would run amazingly on this, but not so. I have the max frame rate at 110fps, and chunks at 25, and it's terribly choppy. I really wanted to max that to 32 chunks, too.
Anything I can do?
Also:
-Java 8
-Launcher 1.6.51
-Mac OSX 10.11.3
Any advice is greatly appreciated! One of the biggest reasons I wanted a fast computer was to play Minecraft on high settings!

Is it realistic to be able to run Minecraft at 32 chunks and 110FPS on a MacBook Pro, 2.2GHz quadcore?
