Hey guys So I'm having a problem in forge 1.7.10. I wanted to play with my friends with a mod pack they made, but it's for 1.7.10 forge. So I went to download it Here, and got the recommended version.
I downloaded it, and clicked install client.
(I blured out the /Users/ part :D)
And all it did is install the forge folder, and .json file. No folder. Then I tried a 2014 1.7.10 version, and it added the .json and the folder! But still didn't work. Is there any fix to this? The smp is starting soon, and I don't want to be left behind. Please help me fix this :).
Oh and by the way, this is what happens :D.
I don't know what you mean by "Forge folder." Forge will create a new profile in your launcher that you should use to run the game with mods. The mods/config/etc folders, if that's what you mean by "Forge folder", will not be created until you launch your Forge profile or version for the first time.
The error you've received (from what I can tell; it's hard to see in a screenshot rather than as plain text) is the common error for "you're trying to run 1.8 mod(s) on 1.7.10." You cannot mix-and-match versions. Make sure all mods in your mods folder are for 1.7.10.

And I did what you told me, but now I click play, and all it does is quit minecraft. That's all it does...

I'm guessing you're finding that in the versions folder? Doesn't really matter. You shouldn't have to do anything with that folder to use mods properly (for any relatively recent version, at least). Just put the mods you want to use in the mods folder (which is in your minecraft folder) and run the appropriate Forge profile and version in the launcher.
Game quits? Post crash report or log.
