I'm running version 1.8.9, the current one. Single player world.
I downloaded MC to check out on my new 4k tv and am suffering from freezes every second or so.
Looking at my GPU stats I see that my GPU usage and GPU core clock are both dropping to 0 when these freezes happen.
I attempted to set MC to max performance mode in Nvidia control panel and this didn't help.
I'm assuming my computer isn't seeing this as a 3D program or something. I did a few searches and seems that most with this problem have under powered systems. This isn't the case for me.
4790k/980ti/16gb @ 4k. Driver version 361.91
I haven't modded MC. I did attempt to increase the allowed ram usage but this did not help. This is the only game that's giving me this problem.
Its for young generation, and gets cleared at regular intervals, if its a large amount oit will cause lag while the system clears that area of ram, hence the lag spikes you get
xmx is the ram allocation amount, and shouldn't need to be changed either unless using a resource pack or mods

Thanks.
-Xmx1G -XX:
+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:
+CMSIncrementalMode -XX:
-UseAdaptiveSizePolicy -Xmn500M
I did test out increasing ram and that didn't help so I returned the value to normal.
Thanks.
*I'm on windows 10 home 64bit. Should of mentioned my OS in original post.
Doesn't that setting just affect the amount of system ram being used?
What settings would you recommend?
