i hope i am posting in the correct forum. i am trying put minecraft on my computer for my daughter. i am running window 10 and appear to be using version 1.6.51. i have her profile set up but when i click on play it says preparing but does nothing. i checked the launcher log and received this error message

i have reinstalled java so i do not think thayt is it but not sure. any help is appreciated.

does not work in admin mode,. it's weird because it is doing the same thing on her computer at home as well.

It seems you are cracked.

Yggdrasil could not authenticate you. No support is given if you are cracked.

how would i be cracked? how do i get uncracked? i purchased minecraft through minecraft.net. i have even deleted it and downloaded it again and it still won't work. my daughter is so frustrated. any help is appreciated.

Like noname_42 said, the launcher doesn't have access to the .minecraft folder.

Make sure the .minecraft folder itself isn't marked hidden or read-only in the properties, or else the launcher cannot find/write it.

Try deleting the .minecraft folder (don't forget to backup your saves!) if neither of these work, then startup the launcher again. The launcher will regenerate the folder.
