BTW when I put the jar file in the mods folder (which i suppose is located in "C:\Users\*****\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions\1.8.9\mods") nothing will happen in game!
I am actually looking for zoom control of OptiFine but when I go to MC>Options>Controls... there's no new control keys, all the same as before.
And this is the launcher's log if it's any help (I ran the game, created a new world and removed it and then closed the game):
try installing forge, then put optifine in C:\Users\*****\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods
normally optifine works without forge but it will work with it, if you can't get forge to install then I'm not sure what you can do to fix it.
Edit: just to make sure everything works you should probably run the game once with forge before putting optifine in the mods folder.

thanks guys i changed my launcher and it's ok now, (I guessed something is wrong with my launcher since the beginning)
If anyone had the same problem i think their problem will be just fixed by changing their launcher as I did.
BTW i changed from extreme craft launcher into terraminingmc optifine launcher.

As the title says I cannot install OptiFine and I don't know what to do about it.
I'm Sure I downloaded the right file for my MC version ("OptiFine_1.8.9_HD_U_H2.jar").
I can open the jar file but whenever I try to Install it, it will come up with an error!

try installing forge, then put optifine in C:\Users\*****\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods
normally optifine works without forge but it will work with it, if you can't get forge to install then I'm not sure what you can do to fix it.
Edit: just to make sure everything works you should probably run the game once with forge before putting optifine in the mods folder.
thanks guys i changed my launcher and it's ok now, (I guessed something is wrong with my launcher since the beginning)
If anyone had the same problem i think their problem will be just fixed by changing their launcher as I did.
BTW i changed from extreme craft launcher into terraminingmc optifine launcher.
