I don't think that's the cause, but it could be the update if it really happened. win7 is infamous for 0xc0000005 errors: unable to start or access violation.
Simple yet powerful multi-purpose solution: Have you tried deleting (backup worlds, mods and resource/texture packs) the .minecraft folder and minecraft.exe? Then download it again and start with administrator privileges. Worth remember that Java 8u73 was released on day 5, this month, so make sure to update it as well (mainly cuz that's mc's engine x.x).
That error code indicates that Windows is not able to read the executable properly. I would recommend using Ccleaner (my favorite) or any other utility trusty program to clean and look for issues on the registry, since these are read and written by the Windows every time you basically do something, so it'snot a rare occurrence that some may get corrupted. This is specially true if you don't clean or format your system for a long time.

Curse Premium- Did Windows install any update during or after your last session when MC was working?
- Does any other 3rd party software works (eg.: anti-virus or other games)?
- Have you scanned for virus?

- Actually now that i think about it im going to assume it did, when i woke up my PC had restarted.
I should also mention it's only the launcher, i tried launching MC through ATLauncher and it worked perfectly fine.
- Everything else is working perfectly fine. No issues with other games and anti virus is working fine.
- Yes, just did and it didn't find anything.

Yea i tried a full reinstallation of mc, just also tried running it in admin mode with no fix.
Ive also updated java with no fix.
Windows why ;-;
