Hello everyone,i have a problem:I have an Asus G751JY-DH71(i7-4710HQ,GTX980M,24GB RAM) and when i try to play Minecraft,it laggs like crazy.
I can play games like GTA V,Fallout 4 and BF4 with almost Max settings(MSAA+FXAA turned down) with stabile 60FPS,but in unmodded Minecraft i get like "only" 250FPS.Its a problem for me,because i was getting like 800-900 FPS In Minecraft with Max settings(1.7.10) but now it's unplayable.I mean unplayable, because i often use Command Block Creations, and then my FPS goes down to 10-20(?!?!)Can i fix it?My Settings in the Launcher are:4GB of RAM(with 300 mods 16GB :)) I used to get 100 FPS with 300 Mods with a World with 10 Magical Crops farms,100+ Mekanism Machines and 10+ Worlds, some Millions of Chunks loaded(because of my Frame Quarry thingy).
BIOS is newest(211).
Hope for Help and Thx in future
(Sorry for errors in language my foregin language is Croatian and i live in Switzerland so english is my 5 language+i haven't speaked english for a while)
First off try not to compare Minecraft to games like GTA 5 or BF4. These games are using DirectX for their graphics while Minecraft uses OpenGL, it's like comparing apples to oranges. OpenGL can't provide the same level of performance as the newer, faster DirectX. Best things to do to help the issue are to update graphics drivers, don't play on fullscreen, and install Fastcraft, Optifine, and Better FPS. Also try decreasing the amount of RAM allocated to Minecraft 2GB is more than enough normally, too much can cause slowdowns and lag.

Fastcraft does not help at all in my case,i tried it.Optifine crashes and conflicts and other stuff, sadly :(Also it causes tesselation errors.2GB:same result as with 4GB and no fullscreen gives me 2 FPS more, maximum.
EDIT:Also,Notch,if you are reading, then change MC to use DirectX
EDIT:Now,i didnt do anything, but in a 70 Mod modpack i get about 50 FPS,but my CPU temperature gets to 80+ *Celsius. This is no way normal.i used to get like 60* Maximum with a 350 Mods modapck. But 80+* with 70 ?!?!?!.PS.its the lethal network thingy modpack

Your using WAY too many mods and just because you have a high end computer doesn't mean you can overload your minecraft with tons of mods just try to play minecraft with less mods and just use modpacks.

Make sure Minecraft/Java is using your dedicated GPU. Also post your JVM arguments.
Realistic Torches - Causes torches to burn out after a configurable amount of time.
Nature's Compass - A utility item that allows you to search for any biome's location in the world.
Notes - Provides a clientside in-game notepad.
Souls - After you die, a hostile Soul that stores your inventory will spawn.
Auto Refresh - Automatically refreshes your server list and alerts you when your selected server comes online.
Pick Block Plus - A clientside mod that significantly improves the vanilla pick block function.
And a few others that we don't talk about.

Also,This Laptop only has a GTX 980M,the Integrated GPU was disabled on the G751 series.

How to beat mobs at night:
1. Learn how the mobs behave
2. Use both hands
3. Have at least Iron Armor better
4. Do at least use Iron Sword or better
5. Hide in the bushes to suprise them
6. The mobs don't know whats behind them

Check task manager to see any thing taking up too much resources or update java
Try using razer game booster
http://www.razerzone.com/cortex/game-booster
DO NOT TRY THAT.
1. Mr.Troll( can i call you like this? ) Sadly, even with Process Hacker 2 i cannot find anything that takes too much RAM,and java is up-to-date.
2.Razer Cortex is only using more resources in the background.
