So a couple weeks ago I had a problem while strip mining with a mining turtle. I came across a coal vein to which I started mining. This was approximately 8 hours of playtime into the game so I had already had the basics of Equivalent Exchange, Buildcraft, and Industrialcraft started up. However, none of these mods should have an effect on what happened. I simply mined the vein of coal blocks with my diamond pickax with the enchantment of efficiency. When it came down to the last 4 blocks, I could not mine one of them without crashing. I have created a large space around these blocks of coal. I have continuously reload minecraft just to mine the blocks and then it crash again. It is the most bizarre bug I have ever experienced. I would record the experience if i understood how. I am not looking for a fix to the topic, just maybe your thoughts on the subject. Aren't bugs usually just errors in coding? What error would cause a group of blocks in a relatively large world make minecraft, the client, unstable? Also, why are these the only ones that I have found to do this? Why have I not heard of many others with similar problems? It's simply an interesting topic and if there is a fix, I would love to see why it works! I'm sure I could simply mine it with a mining turtle or an excavator but what is the fun in that?
