So i was recently playing Minecraft pc, everything going normal, then my computer accidentally turned off while i was playing in my world.... then when i opened minecraft again the world was erased... so i went and checked in the .minecraft folder and in the saves it still said the world was there but in the application it wasn't.... so if any1 has a solution to this problem plz reply it was a very nice world i had there...
The level.dat file is corrupted (at least). If you have a backup, or the level.dat_old you can replace it. THere might be other corrupted files though.
The level.dat file contains your location and your inventory along with other world configuration and state data, so replacing it does have implications.

As Gerbil say, hopfully only the level.dat file are corruptet. u can do 2 things on u one.
!!! Befor duing anithing on files, make a BACKUP of them !!!
1. U can try to delet level.dat and rename the file level.dat_old to level.dat. (Some times this work.
2. if u have u world seed, create a new world in MC with this seed and copy the level.dat in u corruptet world folder.
