[p]Here is a picture of what it going wrong. It seems to only happen in full screen and with higher level shader packs. The attached screenshots show what I am talking about. Please help, and thank you in advance. It is also in only version 1.7.10, and it doesn't matter what shader pack i use. The higher quality the shader is the worse this strange flickering is.[/p]
Not all shaderpacks are supported on all Macs. Your Mac has Intel Graphics, which wouldn't ordinarily be a problem, but it also looks like you're using an old version of Mac OS X. Updating your computer to the latest version of OS X might solve this problem: link to update download.
For future reference, you shouldn't have even had to ask this question. Shaderpacks are KNOWN to be iffy on Mac computers, since they're not developed on them (and Mac uses a much different graphics format from other systems). I'm assuming you're using optifine for shaders? otherwise, you completely IGNORED the shader's mod forum post.

Updating to Capitan fixed the problem entirely! Thanks so much!
Gonna take some getting used to for the new designs on nearly everything, but it's totally worth it!

And thanks for nothing.
sorry. sometimes I get annoyed seeing super-common issues with super-common fixes being constantly posted - like the non-java crashes that generate separate crash logs, then TELL YOU SO in the java crash report, yet people never READ the crash report.
especially issues that relate to nothing more than using the wrong minecraft version for a mod, or vice-versa

Can you post a Dxdiag log?
Sorry for the late reply I kinda forgot about this.
I'm on a mac. :/
Then take a screenshot of the About My Mac screen instead.
Here.

But this was an issue with outdated hardware. :/
yes, but the last time I used a mac that issue had nothing to do with outdated hardware.
