First off, I'm not sure if this is in the right section if it isn't I apologize.
Second, the main problem. I recently changed my minecraft name, then I decided to make a new skin for it. When I uploaded the skin like normal, I went into multiplayer and looked at myself, sure thing, its the new skin. So I didn't think of much for awhile, then, while playing LAN, my friends tell me they cannot see my skin. I go over to their screens and sure enough, its just steve! I want to know if this is fixable or what causes this, was it because of the name change? To help you guys answer, I already have uploaded skins and they have worked so its not that. (This was prior to name change).

It sounds like MC-52974. The host's skin won't be visible to other players on a LAN world.
It does indeed, since multiplayer it works fine. Thank you for this insight.
