I've used forge in the past, and I recently had to delete everything and start fresh (all minecraft files) and i went to re-download and install everything and forge wont pop up to install after downloading. im clueless as to what might be wrong, if i could get some help on what i might be doing wrong, that would be awesome.

I don't get the Java icon instead Its got a RAR Icon and it doesn't open like every tutorial I have seen and no one in any of the
tutorials I have seen explain how to get it to open the way they do I followed exactly how they installed it and I get a different result.
How do you install it am I missing a program or something do I need a special java program why is my install installing it as a WinRAR archive (.jar)
when everyone else seems to install as a java application that they can just run.
Right-click, Open with, Java(TM) SE Binary. Or use Jarfix to fix your file associations.
Apparently you skipped through all of WinRar's installation options, especially the part where it asked you if you wanted to associate WinRar with .jar files. Which 99% of the time, you don't.
