Hey all, just wanted to know... why?
OS: Windows 10 Home
Running Minecraft 1.8.9 with Optifine HD Ultra G9 / Java 1.8.0_66 64bit (I tried the version Minecraft defaults to, but I got the same results)
When I am in windowed mode at 1280x720 I get ~140fps.
However, whenever I try to go fullscreen, the fps drops to ~80fps.
Can someone please tell why this is happening, and how I can fix it?
Screenshots of both scenarios (Not Recording):
While Recording (Dxtory):

Try updating your graphics drivers.
Latest version of the Nvidia Drivers (361.43 as of 12/21/2015) give me a BSoD when trying to access the GPU processes, which means I can't update to that version without that happening everytime I try to play Minecraft.
Nvidia JUST released a new Driver (361.75). I'm going to do a clean install and see if that one works.

FPS ISSUE FIXED! The drivers were the problem all along, so Thanks for your help!
