I recently purchased the redragon m602 gaming mouse for use in minecraft (I play on a 2010 mcabook pro running OS X el capitan). Since the drivers for this mouse are not Mac compatible, I downloaded the USB Overdrive software. However, when I went into the Minecraft control settings and pressed buttons 4 and 5, they both registered as "Button 3" in the control menu. How do I make them be buttons 4 and 5?
if minecraft isn't seeing the extra buttons, only mouse 1, 2 and 3, then i would guess you need to use the mouses own software to map the mouse buttons to the key instead

the problem is that the mouse's own software is not compatible with the Mac operating system
why would you buy a mouse that didn't work with your OS?
USB Overdrive either can support mapping buttons 4 and 5 to something else or you are out of luck.
