I run a minorly modded Minecraft. I believe there are 9 total. My most recent was something called fairy lights. Neat little thing I fell in love with while using the Seus shaders. Anyway, I had strung up maybe a dozen total of them, with little to no issue. There was an instance where I had to save and quit and reload my world to be able to place anything again, but I wrote it off as a minor hiccup.
The problem though, or, how it began, was after I had placed 2 nether .. rackers or whatever they happen to be called, and set them on fire as an eternal fireplace, the game shutdown moments later. And now I can only get in, supposedly, looking at the moon for a half second, prior to shutdown again. This only occurs on my primary save, and my only save, with a few months, almost a year's worth of effort. It's a similar cry as most, but I ask, is there anything I can do to enable access to my save again? I have no recent save, and after a few day build of something, I would, or am, devastated almost at the loss of work. ( Giant ass pantheon with interior in progress, if you're oh so curious to the most recent endeavor. ) Things ran as they normally did until I started the fire though. And I attempted to relaunch the game a few times prior to looking up anything, so my attempt at using the prior copy of level.dat_old is no good anymore. So now I am pretty much locked out until I can get find a fix. I am then demolishing that damned fireplace and not daring to do it again without a recent backup. ( cause I still want a fireplace, but with proper precautions. Maybe. )
Whether or not it is the norm, I will list current mods I have in use, and paste the error report at the end.
Fairylights-1.4.0-1.8
grapplemod-v6-1.8
The Additional Blocks Mod v2.0
The Additional Blocks Mod v2.0
SiriusMC_1.4.1710
[1.8]ParticleBox(2)
More-materials-mod-by-localtoast-1.8
buildcraft-7.0.17
minedeco-1.7.2-1.0.2
ShadersMod-v2.4.12mc1.8
End Mod list.
I tried to link error reports, but as I have learnt, even one is far too large for this window. I'd gladly link it if I could find a site to host the text at, to hyperlink.
I lowered it to 4 from 13 or whatever it happened to be, and I got maybe a full second looking up at the sky in the world that can't start, before it shutdown then and kicked me to the launcher. So here I am now saying that. Hence, it didn't fix it.
Would you recommend I remove that mod and try to launch the save? That'd probably wipe a town of bricks, but I wouldn't mind that too much honestly. If you say yes, then I can simply rebuild and not use the glass pieces. And if the glass is the issue, maybe I should remove them from a new world I dabbled in then.
I guess I'm asking are you certain, and is what I asked a plausible idea?
I did just that. And in this case, It wasn't necessary. Removing the mod that caused the conflict let me back in. And good news, blocks I thought were apart of this mod, are not, so I didn't really lose too much. Kudos to all the assists.

They've been put in as an edit.
Try reducing the render distance

seems to be caused by some kind of glass block from theadditionalblocksmod.

It is indeed caused by The Additional Blocks Mod, but removing the mod would delete all the blocks in the world added by that mod.
you can always back up the save / world first just incase
I'll keep that noted.
