Following the "good support thread" rules step-by-step so far, there's quite a few requested details that I can't/won't provide either because I don't know, I don't think it's relevant, or I already forgot what it is. I also want to mention, completely unrelated to Minecraft, that I've been noticing a similar problem with icons in my start menu. Programs/options like GIMP, Control Panel, Downloads and Chrome not having icons in the start menu.
ANYWAY. Back to the actual Minecraft bug-thing. I said those start menu issues are similar for a reason. This happened in three worlds IIRC- I was playing fine yesterday, by the way- I start up a new world and it's just black. I made sure to include the minimap in this screenshot so you can see that I am indeed, standing on land. Not trying to screw with you guys. And I can even move around, swim, break stuff. The game works fine, I just can't see anything. And again, the reason I say my start menu being the way it is could be relevant is because I suspect this could have to do with my video card. Does that make sense?
