I have an older computer and it is still is running Windows 10 fine. On the previous snapshot last week the movement and rendering lag were HORRIBLE, The game would barely move and when I punched a tree it took about 30 seconds for the game to render the block missing and put it in my inventory. In this new snapshot the game surprisingly lags much less! I can move fine now. If I punch a tree the game still takes about a full second to render it however it is still noticeable and would not be tolerable if I was mining or wanting wood real fast. If I move to new blocks it still takes the game a long time to render the blocks. Here is me standing on invisible blocks:

And you've made sure your video drivers are up to date? What is your GPU? Are you running on integrated or do you have an actual video card?
Is your machine 32bit or 64 bit?

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
