Hello as the title says today i got a virus well it was actually 6 infected files and i got my virus protection software to fix it and it is safe the virus is gone i believe and i restarted my computer. I use windows 10 btw and my problem is it wont open minecraft so i went to minecraft.net and pressed the donwload minecraft.exe not the shortcut one and it says couldnt launch to i removed minecraft and it still says it. Please help i want to play minecraft again! btw it was 6 trojan Infected files.

best thing you can do like me is just reset your computer to factory defaults and download minecraft again also get most of your (UNINFECTED) files onto a usb drive like pictures .pngs .jars (mods) etc etc etc.
then just put the usb in after your done with the reset of all your computer files.
but some people don't like to do that so!
maybe try to defray your computer if you don't want to reset every thing.
those of you wondering why i don't have an active RP (so far none). i try. but whenever i get to the rules section of it my computer restarts. computer: i realise what your telling me and i give up.

It's just a vague story without logs that tell use exactly what is happening when minecraft doesn't work.

try deleting the files it added.

Try going into %appdata% and delete .minecraft because f u delete the icon it only deletes the ICON i think

The code is transferred WITH the icon into the recycle bin...
