So I have 4GB allocated to Mine craft, and Normally everything runs at 60 FPS. recently I put in a SSD drive to my computer and started Minecraft. I was getting like 0-15 FPS, I thought that's weird.
So like and normal person I pressed F3 and my FPS immediately jumped to 60, thinking it was all over I got out of the F3 interface and my FPS dropped back down to 0-15.
I experimented and When I have the F3 interface up my FPS jumps to 60
outside of the F3 interface my FPS is in the 0-15 range
anybody have any ideas about how to fix this?
I also have both java 64 bit and 32 bit installed not sure if that has anything to do with it but i installed both after the hard drive switch, Im not sure on my setup before.
more ram doesn't make minecraft run faster, minecraft will use what it needs, unless you were getting out of memory errors there is no need to mess with the allocation
Ok, what about when it comes to mods? I used to play with modpacks such as tekkit and others l needed more ram... now that im vanilla should i resort back to 1gb

Moderatorwhy have you allocated 4GB to minecraft, 1GB is plenty if vanilla and no resource packs,
post the java args used as its possible you changed something you should've left alone
I like Minecraft to run fast.... and when I record I need the 4GB, I have not changed anything in Java only in Minecraft Profile.
This is how it reads in the Profile Editor -Xmx4096M -Xms4096M
