Can't connect to my friends server, there are other people on it that have connected fine but when I try to connect it says connection timed out
I have tried other servers and I can connect to those ones
Is it a whitelist server? If so, are you on the whitelist?
Are those other people on the same internet connection? Your friend might not have their ports forwarded properly.
If they're running it from their home and live far away, you could just have a really bad connection. What message pops up when you try to join?

Not sure if it is whitelist or not, and we all live within 20 miles of one another so i don't think its that plus I have verizon fios
