What I mean "lag" isn't about frame rate, my game run just fine 70-120fps and last 2 months with the same version ( snapshot 15W51b ). Suddenly everything in the game response very slow, can't explain it, similar to mutiplayer lag but happen both online and offline, here's examples :
If I press a button, step on a pressure plate, or pull a lever, it takes seconds to response. As well as the redstone, repeater, piston, door, lamps......etc.
Mobs move very "blocky", stop for a second, teleport 1-2 blocks and so on, samething when hit them, do take damage but wait for seconds to do the knock back effect.
Restart my pc, change my Xmax to half of my ram, run in offline, nothing helps. Any fix ?
more ram does not equal better fps or anything like that, it will onoly make a difference if minecraft is using up all the ram it has already, which if your using vanilla with default textures it shouldn't use much.
post a dxdiag, and a screenshot of your F3 page in minecraft
also does this happen in the stable none buggy release version, snapshots are untable and may have many bugs and issues
So how come I use the same snapshot 2 months without any problem ?
Something could have happened to your world (corruption). Does the problem occur in a new world?
Did you change your settings or profile options? You said you changed the memory, this can cause poor performance when you don't know what you are doing.
Happen to new world too , and I only changed memory for test because I heard some people say it's because there's no enough RAM. Now it doesn't work, so i changed it back. Yes the snapshot didn't change.

Certainly the *snapshot* didn't change.
