I understand that snapshots will be snapshots and are not ironed out to work perfectly, but I was wondering if maybe I'm missing something important or obvious.
I was running a modded version before, copied the modded .minecraft and wiped the old one. Downloaded a fresh 15w51b jar. Upon entering the menu screen, everything was exceptionally slow. Mouse delay of roughly 1 second, the slow panning picture in the background clicked along at 1 fps. Very weird things I haven't noticed before. Upon entering into a server (I wanted to test some PvP) the game stuttered around like it did in the menu, and then crashed with an error message akin to:
I can't seem to get it to crash again, and I remember what it said. Very similar to the one I linked. I should have saved the crash report, is there a folder somewhere that holds all the crashes?
Hello,
I understand that snapshots will be snapshots and are not ironed out to work perfectly, but I was wondering if maybe I'm missing something important or obvious.
Upon entering into a server (I wanted to test some PvP) the game stuttered around like it did in the menu, and then crashed with an error message akin to:
http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/support/unmodified-minecraft-client/2556285-minecraft-keeps-crashing-failed-to-write-core-dump
I tried it again and same problem. Made sure VBOs was turned off, and now it doesn't crash. It's still as slow as I've ever seen minecraft.
Computer specs:
Windows 10
Acer Aspire E5-573G
Intel i5
Nvidia 940M
If you need any other information, I'll gladly give it. I would understand if no one knew, it is a snapshot after all.

Moderatorpleae post your crash report, we need to see that, not a link to someone else you think has a similar report
I can't seem to get it to crash again, and I remember what it said. Very similar to the one I linked. I should have saved the crash report, is there a folder somewhere that holds all the crashes?
90% of the content of a crash report summary is boiler plate.
So most crash reports appear to be similar superficially.
Ah, in that case I suppose I'll blame the snapshot for being snapshotty (hehe, I did a joke).
I'll just wait for 1.9.
