I'm new to this forum and the reason I am here is to look for help on how I can recover my minecraft world which I have been working for 3 years almost 4 to be exact.
So what basically happened is that about a week ago, my 2 year old sibling was playing and fidgeting with minecraft. When I got back to check on my minecraft world, it wasn't there anymore. Obviously he must have accidentally pushed the delete button on my world. I didn't panic at all since I watched videos in the past on how to recover deleted minecraft worlds using previous versions from file history (and overall has worked successfully). Since I upgraded to Windows 10 just like a couple of weeks ago, I don't know if it operates differently from Windows 7. So when I went on %AppData% and accessed my .minecraft folder into my saves folder, I right clicked to previous versions and there were non previous versions available.
So I spent an hour googling on how to recover deleted minecraft worlds back without any success. The first thing in mind that popped in my head is using System Restore. So I restored my PC to an earlier date just a few days before my minecraft world was deleted. When it finished, all the saves folder was exactly the same with no change or alterations to the AppData folder. I tried to restore to another date earlier than but everything was still the same just as last time with my minecraft world still not there.
So I spent another 2 additional hours on how to recover my minecraft world back looking at all sorts of forums and videos. One thread suggested using Recuva which has been deemed the best. So I tried it out but still no success. It did not show results of my deleted minecraft world only the worlds that I still have on my minecraft saves folder.
So when I went to System Restore the File History was off and I turned it back to on. When I went to my saves to right click to see if my deleted minecraft world was there, a saves folder popped up. I was all happy until unfortunately it only displayed the saves folder that I basically already had.
It has been a pretty frustrating weekend for me and my fellow brain here. I sometimes worry it's because the world has already been overwritten due to downloading Recuva and creating new files.
Any help would be widely appreciated and apologies if this is on the wrong forums thank you.
Already watched the video bud, but unfortunately I couldn't find my deleted minecraft world in my previous versions tab and history as previously said in the post. Thanks for trying to help though.

If that didn't worl the only other way would be a file recovery program (typically not free and not cheap) to recover the deleted files from the hard drive, assuming the system hasn't written over the place the files were on the hard drive
Anyways thanks for all the help guys. Since there is no way and chance I'll be getting my world back soon, I have decided to get a backup of mine which I saved since October. I was just too lazy to rebuild it all back but thanks for that anyways. Cya niggas. Peace out........

Bump
I don't think there's a way. If I were you your younger sibling would receive a lovely kick in the crotch.
I'm sorry that this happened to you.
There's deletion recovery programs. They're kinda jipped, but maybe one will work.
I hope this help

Try Recuva. It's saved me a couple times.
