I was having problems with my Linux Minecraft client (http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/support/unmodified-minecraft-client/2579347-i-just-install-ubuntu-mate-and-minecraft-wont) so I decided to try installing Minecraft using WINE, it was working fine until I tried joining a server (I didn't try single player) which made it crash, every time I tried starting Minecraft after this happened it would come up with the same error message as I got when I tried to join the server.
Here is what shows up:

Thanks for informing me, but could you maybe try to help me out instead of criticizing my post?
Quote from Aeyesยป Your thread is dumb, you and everyone writing those great manuals about installing minecraft in wine. No offence, but u just dont get nice reply, because why in the world are you trying to run MC in wine while linux is supported natively? Why?

I tried running it off of wine because the native installer doesn't work.
