So! I recently upgraded to Windows ten, I've had SOME issue most I've resolved by changing a few things. The one thing I have an issue is with Minecraft. I don't know WHY but when I put it on a Texture Pack (or Resource Pack, whatever you call it), it laggs like CRAZY. I mean I go from my normal 45-50 FPS, and I drop down to Like 3 FPS at minimum and 16 at most...I did EVERYTHING I could to help maximize the performance in Vanilla WITHOUT Mods.
Is this an issue with Windows 10? Is it an issue with Java? Or, is it an issue with both?
Do I need to update Java? I'm almost certain I've updated my graphical drivers already. So, that's not the issue. Yes, I run it on a Laptop, but when I was running Minecraft on WIndows 1.8.1, I was perfectly fine. I never dipped below 50 FPS, unless it was an unusual lag spike on my Realms or I was loading a new chunk and even then...it dipped to 45 (oh no...not 5 frames! D: )
Jokes aside, can anyone help me figure out the issue here? D:
P.S. I have no issue with default Minecraft, it's okay but I prefer my resource pack because it has a nice mix of default and a few other things, it's also a 3D texture back which I love most (maybe that's the issue?).
I shall give it a shot! Thank you a bunch. I'm working on the driver at the moment, I think I upgraded Windows, but we'll see! Thank you for your reply. By the way. Awesome Avatar! Looks like a swanky dude/woman.
So I still get issues, here's a DxDiag it's REALLY long so I just wanted to save some time in Copy pasting and using my Google Docs instead.
I'm sad I really wish it would work and I would HATE to have to go back to Windows 8 because it seems my laptop can run Windows 10 with little to no problem when it comes to other games.
Try allocating less RAM to Minecraft. About 350MB should do it if you have a 32x or lower texture pack. If you have a larger texture pack than that, you might need a little more. But you should never need more than 512MB. Beyond that, you could try getting a lower resolution version of your texture pack and if that doesn't help, I don't know what could be the issue.

Update your graphics drivers, update Java, update Windows. If none of those things work, post a dxdiag log.
