I am currently using the old launcher and recently is stopped working unexpectedly. I redownloaded the launcher and removed the mine craft folder (I'm on mac) and i basically started the launcher for the first time on 1.8 and it loaded to the final end, and crashes upon finishing loading (mine craft doesn't even start) Its not because of a java update and i can't get the new launcher because of my OS.
It comes back with th game output:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/minecraft/client/main/Main
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: net.minecraft.client.main.Main
at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:202)
at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:190)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:306)
at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:301)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:247)
one weird thing i see in the launcher log is that it is expecting bigger local files.
Please respond.
