I play Minecraft often on a laptop and a desktop pc. However on the laptop as soon as i add a texture pack for example faithful it lags a lot (down fromaround 100-200 to 1-15). The laptop has more RAM 8gb compared to the pcs 4gb they both have a 64-bit operating system. The laptop has a i5-6200U CPU @ 2.30GHz 2.40GHz processor while the pcs is a i3-2100 GHz processor so the pcs processor is a older one but it should be faster. Is it the processor speed that is the problem or not?. I have a java 64 bit version that is slightly out dated on the pc and the latest Java 64 bit version on the laptop.If someone could help me out with this I would appreciate it a lot as it has me stumped. Edit: on the laptop if I play in a 1.8.6 using faithful the lag is gone but any texture pack that is more intensive and I lag like crazy again.
